Successful commissioning of RH stamping machine with AMTident 3D reading system

Project scope:

• Turnkey engineering of the revolving head stamping machine with onboard ID reading system in existing steel mill environment.
• Delivery and installation of the machine, safety equipment, connection to HKM steel mill supply system
• Machine data transfer to HKM data and control systems (HKM Level 1, Level 2)
• Integration of the new machine into HKM Level 1 control system

The turnkey project was installed and commissioned during two 14h shutdowns within one week. After only four days, the new stamping machine, including the integrated 3D reading system has been handed over to regular operation, which is accompanied by remote support. The first implementation of AMTident 3D, which uses 3D surface data for character recognition (OCR) and thus for product identification is a complete success. With excellent image and data quality long-term stable reading rates at a high level are guaranteed.
