Automatic cutting robot for Blooms successful commissioned

Alpine Metal Tech's first torch cutting robot is a further development of existing core competencies in robotics and cutting technology, thus enabling new approaches to cutting steel. The cutting robot was installed in a steel plant in Romania in 2020 and successfully commissioned in 2021.

A standard robot carries the water-cooled torch arm with a laser for product recognition, a cutting torch and pilot torch with integrated flame monitoring. In combination, this ensures the highest reliability and on the other hand low maintenance costs.

• Easier access for maintenance - Service Position of torch arm in a safe offline position (away from the hot material) = Human safety
