MarkCL - Laser marking cylinder liner

The MarkCL is used for the fully automatic, individual laser marking of cylinder liners. In addition to plain text characters and logos, the laser technology also enables barcodes and Data Matrix Codes for automatic process tracking and control of all subsequent production steps for manufacturing.

The MarkCL is designed as an inline machine and is installed directly in the production flow. A separate loading and unloading device is not necessary.

Before the marking process, the product is selected via HMI or an interface. Thanks to the built-in axis system, there are no set-up times after product type changes. The integrated cleaning nozzle ensures a perfect marking result. The cylinder liner is then fed into the machine via the roller conveyor and pneumatically centered.

The marking is done by two high-precision 30W lasers. Possible marking positions are on the top edge and laterally. A live image camera is installed inside the machine for monitoring and diagnostic purposes, which constantly informs the operator of the system about the current status of the marking process, even in automatic mode. The camera image can also be displayed at any time via remote maintenance at any location.

The marking result is checked in the marking machine using the integrated AMTident reading system. The system checks logos, plain text and DMC codes. This ensures permanent marking quality and 100% readability at the scanner stations in the factory. This increases and maintains productivity and quality in operation.
