First inline sprue point drilling machine ABV300

The ABV300 high-tech machine for drilling out sprues on aluminum wheels is unique on the market. With its automatic tool changer (12-tool magazine) in combination with the integrated wheel type detection system the drilling of different diameters in flexible productions is now possible.

Compared to punching the sprue, drilling effectively avoids the risk of deformation or cracking in the aluminum. The robust spindle with its HSK100 tool interface is capable of bore diameters of up to 100 mm and is therefore also ideal for larger wheels with thicker material in the hub area. By adapting the drilling diameter to the finished wheel hub diameter, the ABV300 saves valuable cycle time in subsequent turning operations.
