SIMULATION - Awarded by London Gatwick for Fire Training Simulator Upgrade Project

SIMULATION is proud to announce that Gatwick International Airport, London, United Kingdom has awarded the contract to SIMULATION to design and install a new aircraft fire control and safety management system onto their existing aircraft mock-up.

The major upgrade and overhaul include the removal of the existing system and installation of a new PLC control system providing full electronic ignition and pilot flame supervision technology. The operator interface will be via both the main HMI touch screen control panel and a number of internal HMI touch screen wireless hand-held control pendants. It totals the new system will control 2 external fuel spills, 13 external fires and 11 internal fires.
