Jersey Airport awarded a contract to SIMULATION for an upgrade of an aircraft fire training facility

We are pleased to announce that Jersey Airport has awarded a contract to SIMULATION to upgrade its existing aircraft fire training facility.

The aircraft simulator B737-400/ Dash 8, which has been originally installed in 2005, will be removed from site and undergo a major overhaul and upgrade including structural repairs, new wing engine and undercarriage, all new pipework and a new PLC fire control and safety management system including full electronic ignition and pilot flame supervision of all fire scenarios. A total of 9 external LPG fire scenarios will be commissioned on the new facility. 

Works also include upgrading Jersey airport’s training area pumping system PLC and supply one compartment fire behaviour training attack unit.
