GEGA - New slab cut-off machine for Acelor Mittal Burns Harbor

13.01.2017

GEGA is proud to announce that it has just received an order to supply two new slab cut-off machines to Arcelor Mittal’s Burns Harbor facility in the US.

These two machines will be installed on caster #1, also include pyrometers, laser length measuring, and gas flow monitoring. Combined with the SHEL cutting nozzle system, these machines can perform at the fastest speeds, lowest media consumption, with the lowest kerf (amount cut out of the steel) available in the world.

The brand GEGA is part of the Alpine Metal Tech Group, which is a world market leader operating in four different business divisions (Steel, Automotive, Safety Services and Life Cycle Business) under seven brands (NUMTEC, GEGA, KNORR, MAKRA, AMAKON, MAGNEMAG, SIMULATION).
