Workholding - OP2 - 6-jaw chuck
The 6-jaw chuck is a clamping system that allows chaotic machining (of up to 5 inch sizes) for the second operation on the wheel (final lathe operation). To do so, the wheel is clamped on the rear flange from the outside. Due to the excellent properties, the 6-jaw chuck is also suitable for diamond cut machining of aluminum wheels.
- Clamping jaws: Up to 5 inch sizes possible, maximum precision for best lathe operation results
- Positive-fitting jaws: High level of process reliability owing to secure loading and removal position of the wheel
- Centrifugal force balancing: High accuracy at high speeds and with large wheel sizes, constant chucking force over the entire speed range, therefore no warping of the wheel
