Mobile aircraft fire training simulator for over the road transportation at multiple training sites. Military and civilian versions available.

The design is a transportable aircraft based on the features of a fighter jet and cargo aircraft. The MAFT comprises of a two-axle fuselage/road trailer chassis structure and a three-axle tractor unit with a rear mounted removeable control room skid. The skid also incorporates a 500 gallon LPG storage vessel with corrosion resistant maring coating. The control room is insulated and air conditioned. The MAFT can be operated either with the control cabin/LPG storage skid remaining on the tractor unit or lifted off onto the ground.

The skid is provided with forklift pockets for unloading/loading purposes and is attached to the tractor unit using standard ISO container twist lock units. Both the MAFT fuselage trailer and the supplied tractor unit are fitted with heavy duty lifting points to enable each to be craned onto a ship and also to provide tie-down/lashing points. The major dimensions are 8ft fuselage width x 47ft fuselage length x 13ft total height with an unfolded wing span of 32ft. The overall length of the MAFT trailer and tractor in road trim is 72ft. This simulator is a multi-purpose, live fire training aircraft mock up that contains, external and internal fire scenarios that are designed to be operational in all weather conditions. The control room is provided with internal and external lighting for use at night. A mobile electrical generator is also included with the rig. The unit is designed and constructed in accordance with international standards NFPA 1402, NFPA 86, DIN 14097-1, 2 & 5 and BS EN 746-2.
